Review: Sephora Color Palette

Hulaa~ I'm back again with another make-up review. (Just realized.. Haven't done any hijab style post lately.. I'll make that my next post then ^^ ) This time, it Sephora Color Pallete. Actually I wanted to get the Color Play but it was oos and I really need a new palette, since my Manly palette RIP already.. :'(
So, this palette got 32 eyeshadows, 3 blushes, 1 bronzer, and 16 lippies. Quite a lot huh? (Again, since this is mobile post the pictures will be down there, so bare me a while k? :D )
I forgot the price, it was on sale about $19 I guess, actual price was around $30.. Check sephora website for the accurate price. So it was quite a steal! :)
As for the quality, it's actually pretty damn great! The shadows are pigmented, long lasting (at least 6 hours with primers, I haven't tried it longer than that), and enough choice for all the occasions. It got the pinks, the greens, the blues, the browns, the golds, the purples, etc! Sounds like the perfect palette? There's a but though.. Almost all of them are shimmery. Only 3 are actually matte. 1 green (3rd row, 5th from left), and 2 browns (3rd and 4th row, both 3rd from left). Not a bad thing if you're a shimmer kinda girl tho.. And there aren't any real matte black. Which is kinda crucial for me, I love black ayeshadow.. Haha. Owh, no real white too~ no yellow (there's gold though), and no RED! There's 1 red, but it got gold shimmer, pretty color, still not red. :'(
Move on to blushes and bronzer, there's 3 of them. Light pink, peach, and fuschia, decent color with decent pigmentation. Very soft natural looking blushes tho, even the fuschia still not BOLD enough.. And the pan's kinda small, making it quite hard to swipe your blush brush without touching other colors. The bronzer's shimmery, matches fair colored skin, don't think it'll show up on tanned skin.
The lippies, unexpectedly, are pretty nice. Some of them are pigmented enough to cover my lip, though I haven't tried all of them.. (Some of those I have aren't so nice tho) mostly pinks and browns, some reds. Will try them next but I have real lippens (like most people do) so don't really think it matters.. hahaha xD
One last think, it's DISCONTINUED already. Yes you hear me., although I just got this couple weeks ago, it's Limiter Edition, and Sephora changes her palette real fast!

Overall:
Pro: great quality, enough choices for all your needs, I like simple black packaging~ :)
Cons: it's discontinued :( not enough matte colors, and some standard colors aren't there.
I give this 8/10 :)

Review: SLEEK blush, contour kit and pout polish

Hi, been quite long since I post anything here.. (Old habit, making blogs then deserted them haha..)
Since someone FemaleDaily forum requested a review of Sleek contour kin that I recently purchased, I thought why not do it here and update this dusty little blog? :)
And by that, I decided to review all my recent Sleek purchase, which include:
- contour kit in #light (with dual end blush)
- blush in #pantao (Limited edition from Avoie la Peche collection)
- pout polish in #electro peach
Actually I also ordered some other stuff.. ( by some I mean 1 palette, 2 pout polish, and 1 more blush :hammer:) but they still haven't arrived yet so we'll get to them later. :)
Let's start with Contour Kit in #LIGHT..
By "LIGHT" it's really really light.. It's waaaay less pigmented than most contour kit out there that doesn't categorized their shade (1 shade for all skin shade). It doesn't mean that it's bad, it's actually perfect for those with fair skintone, I would recommend these to those with skin fairer than N/NC/NW 25 though.. I'm N15-20 so this kit works well for me, but when I tried to apply this kit to my friend, the dark color doesn't show and she's not even that dark.. She's NC25 I think.. So go for medium if you're N/NC/NW 25, or dark if your even darker. :)
Next is the Dual End Brush..
Firstly, it's not even a "dual end" brush, it's more like a detachable brush and you can change it between the angled (contour) brush and the dome (highlight) brush.. It's not a bad brush, it's actually really soft and the size is perfect for travelling.. The cons is it's TOO SOFT to pick up any pigment! It took many (and I mean MANY) layers and effort too even make a slight difference.. And if I use my finger I only need to layer it twice! But not a bad brush, just not right for contouring..
The highlight brush on the other hand, is a pretty decent brush and works quite well. :)
The third one will be the FAMOUS and one of the most raved blush out there, it's #PanTao ! Hahaha..
It's a very very nice mate orangey peachy color, and it's soft enough for daily wear, yet pigmented enough for evening wear. I'm neutral tone and it works like wonder! Love it! Haven't tried how it'll looks like if applied too a cool/warm toned people but I guess it would be just as beautiful!
The last but not least is Pout Polish in #Electro Peach
This one, is also a raved product and I just fell for it.. It lip balm and lip gloss and yet, it's pigmented like a lip color!
What's not to love? It make your lips looks amazing, feels amazing, and IS amazing! After 4 days of using this, my lips are more moisturized and no more chapping! Amazing right? :D
The color, even though it's called "electro peach", it more of a reddish peach and on my lips it's more of a pinkish peach. And it's pigmented enough to cover my actual lip color, which I don't think many "lip balm" can do out there.

Here are some photos, and swatches :)
1st: my Sleek Cosmetics haul
2nd: the 'dual end' brush
3rd: contour kit in #Light (left: contour, right: highlight, swatch done with my finger, without any base whatsoever )
4th: blush in #Pan Tao (top: swatch, bottom: blended)
5th: blush in #Pan Tao and Pout Polish in #Electro Peach (top: blush, bottom: electro peach) here you can see that Electro Peach is more red that orange, compared to Pan Tao that's really orange. :)

That's it for now, will post more reviews and swatches since my haul this month is quite a lot. :) thanks for reading! :)

FOTD: high school graduation

Last week I helped my boyfie's sister for her graduation, I did her make-up and her hijab, actually this is the first time I styled a hijab for formal occation >.<
Since she rarely (may be almost never) wears make-up I decided to keep it light and simple, she's still 16 after all..
She was gonna wear a dusty pink kebaya encim (mine actually) with a batik skirt, so i made her make up a simple pink with a little purply wing eyeshadow, didn't use any false eyelashes too, thought it was gonna make face look too heavy.. and natural lippen and pink blusk, it was a really simple look but I was kinda happy with the result :)

thankfully her skin color's similar with mine.. hehe~ it wasn't anything over the top with her eyes, but I'mreally happy with how neat teh eyeliner was
